Would-Be Carjackers Foiled by Stick Shift

Police in Florida say two would-be carjackers almost got away with a vehicle in Ocala but didn't know how to drive a stick shift.

Same thing happened in Seattle.

Walmarts aren't any safer than any other public place, especially parking lots, though the cameras are nice.

80-year-old woman mugged outside Overland Park Walmart chased after thief

Wish we could have gun education more available, especially for CCW holders.

I don't think this story is as cut and dry as it sounds. According to other articles I've seen the lady was a nuclear scientist at the Idaho National Lab, and the purse was an Xmas present from her husband that was specifically designed for concealed carry. Her FIL also said she and her husband were not irresponsible at all when it came to guns. It just sounds like a tragic accident to me.

what a ringing endorsement for that product. So safe a 2 year old can get to it

After reading that article, they seem like the type to sue the purse manufacture. Thats the problem with this country; its never their own fault, but someone elses. Tragic, but surely preventable if that woman wasnt so careless.

I was responding to Mooby from post #30 about "gun accidents",pretty sure the Lady in question was not defending the kids from anyone or thing (in Walmart) .

Without seeing the compartment in the purse or watching the video of how it happened I'm not going to draw any conclusions. It wasn't like she was waving it around in the air or twirling it on her finger though.
