Re: All things off season 2015.
After listening to most of BA's press conference today and his avoidance of most of the questions (admittedly some tough ones, like the "why are you still employed" paraphrasing) I am starting to agree. He said they will look at the whole process, yet I'm like, who's going to look at the guys looking at the whole process? Because BA has had 5 years, who the hell is evaluating him and saying,"gee I feel confident that this guy is still in charge of football operations" after the season we just had.
Jay will get another pass because I'm not a believer in giving a head coach 1 year, but if we're still terrible next year it's time to hold a fire sale. Doug Williams (forgive me for speaking ill of one of our on-field glory boys) still hasn't shown me anything that says he's doing a good job here either. I don't see how we retain Bruce Allen at this point. The only thing I'm grateful for him is how he's tried to embrace our history, and reconnect our past heroes with current ownership. But his current football evaluation skills leave a lot to be desired. |

The best thing he could have said is "The product that I have submitted for the last 5 years is a disgrace. A disgrace to the fans, a disgrace to the region that this team represents, and its storied history. I love this organization so much, and am so committed to restoring its success, that I'm willing to remove myself from the process of fixing it. The duties of talent evaluation, engineering the salary cap, scouting, and the draft will be handed to AJ Smith, who has a proven track record of success." Short of offering his immediate resignation, that's exactly what Bruce Allen should have done. He's a disaster. His product is abysmal, and the team should move on from him yesterday. |

If Chip Kelly gets out of his contract with Philly. I would bring him to Washington in a heart beat. I like Gruden, but Chip is my favorite coach in the NFL right now.
