Networking is a normal part of many businesses, including the NFL and my own industry. Personally my point about networking was not about the act of networking, but who is doing it.
Bruce Allen's "networking" results in a last place finish for us every year. So we should either: 1) make searches open and competitive rather than networked or 2) use the networking contacts of someone other than Bruce Allen and his cronies like AJ Smith Since option #2 is impossible until we fire Bruce, I would vote for option 1, if my voice mattered.
