Christie barred New Jersey officials from receiving tickets to event at state-owned venues leading up to last year's Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium.

Christie spokesman Kevin Roberts told NJ.com that Jones picked up the tab for Christie and the governor's family, citing The Code of Conduct for the Governor in which the governor, "may accept gifts, favors, services, gratuities, meals, lodging or travel expenses from relatives or personal friends that are paid for with personal funds."
