We did have our hands tied with the cap penalty and no first round picks to offer - ya never know we might have tried.

One thing I will say in favor of Bruce: since he came, contracts have been reasonable. No $100 mil. men. We overpaid for folks like Lauvao and Porter but not wildly so.

It's easy to say that Gruden should run an offense that works for him, but you can't run a NFL offense for a QB who constantly throws without Anticipation.
