idk man, chuck pagano and co. have that defense playing better than their talent right now. kinda sucks to see landry out there playing FS for a playoff team. i know the whole history, why we let him walk etc (we dont need to go into that old news) .. but it still sucks since we havent been able to add even average talent at safety since.

the ravens got jobbed by the refs on those 3 odd substitution plays.

The ref was supposed to tell the D captain who reported as ineligible .. but the ref reported the wrong jersey number of the player who reported ineligible.

brady's smug "check the rule book" response was kinda .. smug. harbaugh wanted the refs to properly ID thr reported ineligible receiver .. which the refs werent doing and brady wasnt giving them time to get it right.

it was intentionally deceiving and for any pat to act like it wasnt designed to confuse the refs and opponent is not being honest.

like when tripplett saw that the down marker was wrong when we played the giants but didnt want to stop the game bc it would have been like a TO for the skins ... if a ref thinks something is wrong, they need to take control, stop the clock and correct it.

I just dont think Indy is that good. I think Luck is well coached with meh results...Pagano is a great coach though. Even though Manning was injuried, like NCSkins said yesterday, Broncos defense didnt come to play. They were more pathetic than the offense.

Funny at work today all my ravens and cowboys fans want to talk about the NFL rule book.

Sadly I think you are right.

Should it happen, I think a Pats-Seahawks matchup should be called the AntiChrist Bowl.

Go Pack! Go Colts!

Re: NFL divisional round thread.

Peyton Manning of Denver Broncos played with a torn right quad for the last month of the season - ESPN

so why wasnt this on the injury report?

odd that the "integrity" of the game is only based on vegas and gambling and not .. idk .... trying to get it right for the sake of getting it right.

at least per scherleth ..

@AdamSchefter

Peyton Manning initially tore his right quad Dec. 14 in win over Chargers, per sources. MRI back in Denver confirmed tear.

Jay Glazer says Peyton had injuries to both quads.

Re: NFL divisional round thread.

Manning had a season for the ages last year. At his age and with the injuries he probably should retire (probably) but anybody who thinks he just "lost it" overnight is crazy. When healthy he is the man.

Lol

He was reaching for the endzone. No doubt. Its poetic justice though. They won on a bad call and lost on a bad call. Perfect.

That does not matter at all. Even if he had reached across the goal line, he still did not maintain possession through the act of hitting the ground, so it would have been an incomplete pass, not a touchdown. What he was "reaching for" has no bearing at all.

Good call according to current rules.

Not what i heard. I heard if it was determined he was making a football move that the bobble is ok. The ruling was he was not making a football move. Why would that even be in question if it didnt matter?

That seems pretty accurate OTM, although not good for us.
