Re: New Defensive Coordinator 2015
Quote:
"Tomsula was known to be the top in-house candidate, ahead of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, whose unit ranked among the NFL’s top five in every season since his 2011 arrival with Harbaugh from Stanford. It is unlikely Fangio will remain on the 49ers’ staff, a league source indicated, after being passed over for head-coach position. Former Raiders coach Dennis Allen, who worked on the same staff with Gase in Denver, is a leading candidate to become 49ers defensive coordinator, a source told CSNBayArea.com."
