Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?

Maybe Amerson's problems were losing D Hall and having a revolving door at both S/SS spots ? We also had very little pass rush , that being said , maybe changes to the coaching staff and upgrades on the DLine will help Amerson improve .

We will find out about Amerson this year, after Deion Sanders called him out at the combine.

I don't like Amerson's make-up. I don't think he has the burning desire to be a great football player like McC talks about.

With so much added emphasis on the run in the NFC East I think we should sign Brandon Spikes or take Rolando McClain from Dallas. Both are better than Perry Riley. Also I would sign Greg Hardy to a one year "prove it" deal. We now have enough depth to handle what ever suspension he may get.

Wasn't signing Culliver risky enough for you?

Nope, lol... I hold results on the NFL field in high regard and I see these players as a fit (on a one year deal). At some point you have to forgive them for mistakes. I feel that we need to fill as many holes on the team as possible in free agency so that the players that we draft can have the opportunity to develop into starting roles. That is why I love the pot-roast deal. If he proves to be his worth we give him a long term deal next year, If we draft a guy like Shelton the pressure will not be on him to be the savior.

Riley is fine against the run.

A TE running a seam route however ...

We went from one ILB that couldn't cover to another ILB who can't cover.

I'd much rather have a ILB who is so/so at run coverage and better at pass coverage than one who balls out at run coverage and is the invisible man when the ball's in the air.

What is jermaine Gresham up too? TE has been an overlooked need for too long.

He'd be a nice pick up for us with Reed being so fragile. We need a traditional TE that has better skills than Paulsen.

How about Housler, Fasano? Are they good blocking TE's?
