Cranston was perfect, and I mean perfect. I was riveted by those first eight episodes, just watching the internal struggle he felt as he was first "breaking bad". He conveyed it so perfectly. The struggle he felt in his desire to provide for his family well enough, every little facial expression as he interacted with Hank and his rich former partner conveyed veiled jealousy and regret. All I could do was think about what he'd do next, because you could sense something boiling underneath the surface of the calm family guy facade. It was the perfect show.
