Except that Mikey wouldn't have agreed to that. He wanted total control or he wasn't going to sign the contract.

... and "not blameless" is a pretty big understatement as to his share of poop on the monkey crap platter.

If he's some kid in his 20's - 30's, I get the dumping toxic waste. Guy's my age and, if he's can't be the bigger man at this stage in his life and just walk away, then he is one small, petty immature guy to being tossing a grenade in the door as he is walking out.

I agree with you ,he wouldn't have come if he didn't get it and Dan Snyder needed him here to show others he was a great owner and could work with the best and the rumors weren't true .It all worked until RGIII , Robert was Dan's pick Shannahan wanted Peyton and didn't believe in Griffen i.e drafting Kurt Cousins ,then it all fell to crap .

Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel

Look, since Shanny left, we haven't had QB controversy, leaks to the media, anybody bad-mouthing any of our coaches or vice versa, or a really bad losing season.

So obviously Shanny was a major problem here, and good riddance!

Raiders making some solid moves on offense, Mike Tice OL coach and Bill Musgrave as OC.

Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel

On the other hand to be fair to Mike, he was pretty much the front man for team Shanahan. I think the whole sh** show that was 2013 had a lot to do with Mike's choice of coaches (including his OC), his entourage (hi Adam Shefter), and personnel folks not named BA.

Shanahan may not have been the initiator of leaks, complaints, etc., but he didn't try to say "Oh, not me, that must have been Kyle (or some other coach)." Stuff was coming out that was clearly from the Shanahan camp and, by denying it all without pointing someone else, Shanahan did, at least, not attempt to throw any of his people under the bus and took all the backlash.

Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel

Ravens hired ex-Bears coach Marc Trestman as offensive coordinator.

Smarting from the loss of Gary Kubiak, the Ravens have found the best possible replacement. Trestman proved overmatched as the Bears' head coach, but has worked magic time and again with quarterbacks, from Rich Gannon to Josh McCown. Trestman fell on his face with a stubborn Jay Cutler, but is inheriting a much more "coachable" quarterback in Joe Flacco. Trestman's arrival should ensure Flacco's 2014 rebound from a rocky 2013 is not a one-year phenomenon.

Holy snap you're right. For the record BOTH Shanahan and Snyder were to blame.

Shanahan wasn't as powerless and handcuffed as he portrayed himself. I do no doubt that Snyder undermined him in areas (siding with RG3 as the biggest example) but Shanny caused that mess of a coaching tenure as much as anyone involved in Redskin Park.
