Why name RG3 the starter this soon?

Last year Griffin was healthy and on the bench for multiple games. If Snyder is really so set on Griffin starting, why wouldn't he have fired Gruden at the end of the season?

Because he is probably not so set on Griffin as people make it out to be. I'm sure there is some truth about the rumors, but I'm sure all of it is not.
