Brandon Browner may hit the market. If so, I would expect some real interest from Scot McC.

Revis Island for sale.

GBay would love to retain Bulaga, just not at LT money and more than they pay their current pro-bowl guard. Also, GBay is hopeful that their recently-drafted-in-the-3rd-round back-up tackle (who was developing while BB was playing) can step into Bulaga's place without too much of a drop-off in the O-line's effectiveness. Throw in BB's injury history and GBay is content to let him walk.

At 7M/year or more, I suggest we follow their lead.
If we were to sign a proven 25 year old tackle, who gives a damn about the development of Moses? Not me because I don't think he's any good.

How much younger than Bulaga is Moses anyway - two or three years, at most? So that's a non-factor. Also, we don't even know if Moses can come back from his Lisfranc injury and he wasn't exactly a ballerina before he hurt his foot.

OK, I like Bulaga a lot and I'd like to see the Skins try to fix the OL sooner rather than later. On the other hand, you don't want to pay the price for him and you're willing to wait on draftees to develop (if they develop). Bottom line: we're not going to agree about the way the Skins should fix the RT problem.

Fortunately for you, it's very doubtful that Scot M. will be shopping on Rodeo Drive during Free Agency so I almost certainly won't get what I want.

Hopefully, the Skins will find some way to upgrade RT and G this off-season because I think the lack of good pass protection is hurting the confidence, and therefore the development, of our young QBs.

Just to be clear, you would sign Baluga for 8-9M/year even though his current team wouldn't match $7M/yr?

I think signing a player like Bulaga, even if it costs a little bit makes sense for this team. We're not going to have a QB in the next two seasons that can overcome a below average/mediocre/inexperienced line. So the team should build a line that can help the QB position. Bulaga is not old, he's only 25, it's not like you're overpaying for a guy in his 30s.

I'd be shocked if SM signed Browner.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?

I would be ok with Bulaga at 9. One, I think RT has been atrocious for EVER, and ought to be addressed effectively. Two, it gives us stability and leverage with TW. I like TW, but he's still one strike from a year suspension, and he hit a wall with his health. Having a guy like Bulaga covers you on both fronts. Maybe it forces the hand to pay more to TW, but just as likely it keeps you from being forced to tag him.

Now let's talk Revis Island.

Mike Iupati wouldn't be a good signing. Ill put a skins diehard wager on it. hes an elite RUN BLOCKER... hes not versatile. we need a hybrid but im looking more for just a smart player who excels in the pass blocking side.

Short answer: Yes.

Now, what does what the Packers are willing to pay for him have to do with what some other team is willing to pay? They apparently have a another plan for RT. Good for them.

Please don't tell me that they are best able to judge his worth. First of all, they are a small market team not noted for spending. Secondly, for some reason they just re-signed a slot receiver for $10MM per season so I guess that about takes care of FA for them.

Again, I would do it but Scot most likely won't.

Fuck no I wouldn't. Dude is always hurt. Missed 7 games in 2012. Missed all of 2013, and missed a game in 2015. We've already been down this road with Jamaal Brown. You'd think Skins fans would learn a lesson.

Well Jamal Brown was a trade. We lost draft picks out of that deal. Wouldn't be the case with Bulaga.

I say no. Bulaga is best in the run game and struggles more in pass pro. We already have tackles who fit that description.
