If Mariota is there - I believe the Redskins should and will take him. Consensus from draft scouting experts is Mariota is a top 10 player on their big boards.

The only thing that prevents this is - the investment in RGIII. Here's the best thing to do to get around that - keep RGIII. And if RGIII changes and improves then great. You now have a good qb and another potentially good young one on the same roster. But if quarterback is currently a hole on the team, then the decision is easy - draft a potentially better option if the option is available.

Or you can keep hoping that RGIII turns it around - which doesn't look likely in the immediate future. RGIII doesn't appear he wants to change - he thinks it's something outside of what he's doing.
