Re: All things off season 2015.
That's what I said last year at the end of the season when he announced he will be working with Warner.

Re: All things off season 2015.
I recall that. And seeing the article about the progress Kap has appeared to make only underscores it. Wish we could get Warner or Steve Young to do some mentoring.

Re: All things off season 2015.
Exactly. Wish RG3 would do.. something new. *anything* new.
Seems like he always uses the same QB coach (T. Shea), and has produced consistently horrible results. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results. I just wish he'd accept that he needs to change something, needs to get better -- and my gut based on his press conferences is that he still blames things on everyone else (protection, scheme, etc). |

Steve Young might be a perfect mentor for RGIII. I think RGIII should pattern his game after Young's.

RGIII could do a lot worse than to pattern his game after a HOF QB who had a similar skill set to his own. That is, when RGIII was using his skill set. Right now, RGIII has no identity as a QB.

Re: All things off season 2015.
Steve Young might challenge RGIII to really change his game. RGIII does not seem open to that.

You may have hit the nail on the head, Lotus. It just feels like RGIII may need to fail here and move on to another team before he can become more coachable.

Re: All things off season 2015.
It's probably hard for a lot of fans to admit, but maybe Griffin just isn't that good of a QB. He can work with whoever he wants. If he can't read the coverage, diagnosis what the defense is doing and then throw to the open guy, it really makes no difference.

Re: All things off season 2015.
well, you can't assume just because we gave up a lot of picks that that guarantees we'll get a good player. that's why giving up that much is generally a mistake.
what i don't like is that i don't think it was lack of talent, but that his mindset wasn't right and he thought he was a lot better than he was/is. so instead of spending his time getting better and learning to read defenses/set up and stay in the pocket (instead of running outside it play after play), he's wasted his time and is still basically a rookie QB (that isn't fast any more). |

Re: All things off season 2015.
Josh Heupel helped Sam Bradford of Philadelphia Eagles decide not to quit - ESPN
probably hurts Bradford trade value going forward. And if he does stay with Philly (not buying he does) its good to know mentally he's not all in.
