Re: Redskins Draft Prospects 2015
Sack predictor based on statistics:
FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | SackSEER 2015 Supposedly it doesn't take into account performance against the run. Ranks Beasley much higher than Fowler. I think it's similar to Nike's SPARQ rating on athleticism except this accounts for a player's performance in college. I don't think a team drafts a guy because of a prediction based solely on metrics, but I think teams would avoid a guy based on metrics. Last edited by DYoungJelly; 04-16-2015 at 02:11 PM. |

This is a no excuses draft. We should come away with several players who will be lynchpins to any success we have going forward. |

Re: Redskins Draft Prospects 2015
We need a big complete TE that can block and catch passes. Jordan Reed is injury prone and not a good blocker. I like this guy:

Long overdue to address and would welcome help

Re: Redskins Draft Prospects 2015
TEs and a RB that can block have been big issues. we've been terrible there for two years now (at least).

Re: Redskins Draft Prospects 2015
The NFL Draft is just a week away. And this mock may the best yet in terms of what Washington Redskins fans have been asking for.
NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah revealed his first two-round mock draft on Tuesday. At No. 5 overall, Jeremiah has the Redskins selecting Clemson edge rusher Vic Beasley. “Beasley is the most explosive edge rusher in the draft,” said Jeremiah. With the No. 38 overall selection, Jeremiah has the ‘Skins picking Oregon offensive tackle Jake Fisher. “Fisher could start at right tackle from Day 1 and provide insurance at left tackle.” Jake Fisher Draft Profile – NFL.com Does this give anyone the warm and fuzzies?

I want a tone set on this team. Jay Gruden's passion can only do so much, a tone has to be set from the trenches. Hard hitting, tough, relentless football. It's contagious and will breed a culture that will take us in the right direction finally.

Re: Redskins Draft Prospects 2015
I'm wondering if any team has looked at Vic Beasley as an ILB. He's a great athlete who I think could surely cover TE's. He's aggressive, he's a good tackler, he has the speed to go sideline to sideline making plays, and we know he can rush the passer.
If Beasley were to be paired with Keenan Robinson, they could be a top-notch ILB tandem, IMO.
