If anyone made the trade for Rivers, it should be us!

That is so true!

But

If SD wants Mariota, they need to move up to #2 to make sure they get him.

On the other side of the trade, with new ownership on the way Whisenhunt needs to win now. Whisenhunt coached Rivers in SD and he knows he can win with him. Tennessee already has a decent OL, so Rivers should flourish there.

This trade just makes too much sense not to be a possibility.

Rivers has one year left on his contract- not interested unless he signs an extension

I agree, a contract would have to be negotiated prior to the draft. He's also 33. I'm pretty done with the vet players. No doubt he's a very very good QB. Not worth what we'd have to give up, pay him, and how long he'd be here.

1. Tampa - Winston
2. Tenn - Mariotta (Trade possible)
3. Jacksonville - Fowler
4. Raiders - Cooper
5. Skins - Williams
6. Jets - Beasley
7. Bears - Shelton
8. Falcons - Bud Dupree
9. Giants - Scherff
10. Rams - Kevin White

I think your mock draft is well thought out. You seem to know team needs very well.

I'd agree that somebody is going to use the second pick on Mariota. We just don't know which team yet.

If Williams is on the board when we pick, it should take SM about a pico-second to turn in the card with his name on it.

As for St. Louis, shouldn't there be a team limit on WR's from WVU?
