This is a deliberate leak in order to advertise to the other teams we are open to trades. This is similar to posting a for sale sign in the front yard. The more offers the better. It does not mean we will do anything (up or down). Trying to get a bidding war started is smart.
I still think Williams, Fowler or Beasley will be there and you take one. Trading down dilutes the talent pool too much. As has been widely reported there are only 6 to 8 blue chip prospects. Trading down from 5 has to be a big offer.
