Well it looks like Collins himself wanted to pulled out of the draft to resolve this situation:

NFL rejects La'el Collins' request to be pulled from draft - NFL.com

Given what happened with Aaron Hernandez, I'm sure teams are very wary of his situation. I know they are not the same situation, but I can see a lot of teams not taking on the risk.

Dude I feel bad for the kid at LSU. He did not do anything wrong. He was no where near the murder and is fully co-operating with police and left the biggest moment of his life to do so. I'd draft him and be good on the Oline for a while. We would have three 1st round draft talents on the line, and would effectively turned a weakness to a strength in one draft instead of two.

I agree. However I did not realize that this was his former girlfriend. Just cause he wasn't anywhere near the scene doesn't mean he wasn't involved. Also it would be important to know if that kid is his.

I knew it was his ex. It may be his child and again just because these things are true doesn't mean he had something to do with it. Again we will see.

My guess is he gets drafted late

One of the so called draft experts on the NFL Network said yesterday La'el Collins was considered squeaky clean when teams did their background checks on him. Obviously this was before the murder of his ex GF. An eagle scout, a smart guy and has never been in trouble before. Not even close.
My gut feeling is La'el Collins would not send someone to murder his possible babies momma two day before the NFL draft. I might end up being wrong, but i would take a chance on him with a 7th round pick rather then roll the dice on some nobody that has very little chance to make the team.
This guy has talent.

I'd take Collins if he's available and I hope that's our pick. I wouldn't mind Green-Beckham either but rather go defense. 3rd round I say more OL

Re: Nfl draft round 2 and 3 thread.

My bet is Harold or a lineman at 38 and a safety or RB at 3.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Nope. He's too much of a project. 6th rounder. I'd prefer someone that's a little more polished.

Re: Nfl draft round 2 and 3 thread.

Collins = Alvin Walton- great against the run, fair vs the pass

a possible option:

Owamagbe Odighizuwa, DE, UCLA, NFL Draft - CBSSports.com - NFLDraftScout.com
