portis did average 3.6 yards a carry, not great but not pathetic either. what did betts average?
i'm quite certain the same person who's calling the plays at the beginning of the game is the same person calling them at the end.
the skins offense easily outplayed the seahawks defense today. the skins defense had a few breakdowns and thats the only reason the game was close.
yes, they were at the end of the game, when gibbs runs and hides in his shell because he has a lead. Im not saying betts is better than portis, im saying portis is better than his numbers. And I dont think the same person is calling the plays the whoel game. Musgrave calls down the play, and gibbs decides if he wants to run that play.

i agree gibbs gets very conservative at the end of a game if his team has the lead but i don't blame him for that, he didn't think the seahawks could score on our d but the defense had some breakdowns at the end.i didn't think you were saying betts was better than portis i was just wondering what betts average was because between betts and portis the run game was very effective today. your right about the playcalling coming from the booth to gibbs and then gibbs desiding to keep it or change it but it's not coming from musgrave. musgrave is on the sidelines with gibbs.

Portis should have had a lot higher average. He was getting 7-10 yd gains a bunch of times after we packed them off with a bunch of pass plays. My main point is why we run with 9 in the box and not audible more. There were a few times that we did, and got it to cooley, id just like to see it more. This game was a huge step in the right direction though. Doing it once was more than we did last week.
