I can't help thinking that when RGIII is out on the field he's purposely giving a big FU to Gruden for not letting him play the way he wants. Kind of like. See what happens when I play your way. I'd be the greatest QB in football if I could just play the way I want to.

Even his comments in training camp like "I'm playing the way they want me to". just sounds like something a team guy would never say. Just seems like he has a lot of backhanded veiled subtle comments, that ultimately say, "Everyone is against me, it's me against the world"

I don't know how anyone on the team could hear the comment "I'm the best QB on the team", and not think this guy is just a total douche.
Agree with 90% of this

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

why not start Cousins against the first string ravens and see how HE does against the starters…bring RGlll in later and see how he does against the backups..what do we have to lose?? does anybody think that if RGlll had been playing the backups all pre season he would have done better than Cousins or McCoy..My bet was he would still not look good..so how in the world if RGlll stinks it up at Ravens can Gruden start him against Miami..this does not make sense at all. I realize Robert had pressure in his face but geez he looked lost ..and why on earth did they not help out smith with extra blockers..its almost like the Coaching staff wants this to play out like it is and force a change at Qb from the top (Snyder)…This maybe the last chance for Robert ..if he looks bad against the Ravens what do you guys think will happen?

Sorry to be blunt...but No Matter What Happens...RG3 will be the starter for the regular season against the Dolphins, because Dan Synder has already decreed it.

Even if RG3 sux next week and the final week of the preseason, and KG and Colt look great, RG3 will be the starter against the Dolphins...the only hope is that if RG3 sux against the Dolphins, hopefully Jay Gruden will be allowed to pull RG3 in favor of KG or Colt.

Snyder can decree it all he wants, but a season ending injury is looking like a forgone conclusion. Other QBs get tackled. RG3 gets blown the f@ck up. No one in the history of tackle football has taken worse hits on a consistent basis. The man is incapable of being taken to the ground in a normal fashion.

Really Dan Synder tells them RG3 has to start. Man I can't believe you people believe this. LOL

I believe that Snyder has already told JG that RG3 starts no matter what. Why would the coach risk his job? I don't think it's that far fetched at all to believe that something like this has happened...

Gruden appeared done with RG3 last year the way he was ripping him in the media. I don't think a coach would use that as a motivational tool. Sounded like he would of happily traded Robert for a six pack and a bag of pretzels, then this year he names him the starter before training camp? Either Gruden changed his opinion of Robert 180 degrees or someone changed it for him.

The thing about Dan Snyder is that no matter how ridiculous the conspiracy theories about him are the truth is often even more absurd. After he sued a broke elderly widow who couldn't afford to pay for tickets, sold fans stale peanuts he bought from a bankrupt airline, forced fans to turn their T-shirts inside out or be ejected from the stadium, closed down a church parking lot, and many other ridiculous things, his mandating that RGIII will be the starter is very easy for me to believe.

I hear you but you don't think some or most of these things are.....dramatized, if not manufactured? I have not even heard of most of that.
Let's face it, it has become fun for all to bash DS....
AND, as MK has eluded, I can totally see SM getting Gruden to play the kid. Have no problem with it. We NEED to know if he can get it done and if not, move on. No matter some of the things that have been written, we are in rebuild mode, and have to have some of these Q's answered. I hate losing, but for now it is more important to correctly evaluate what we have and build for the future...........

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

Listened to ESPN 980 all day today, something Ive never done in the past,I wanted to hear what local radio had to say about VY2 since I never get to hear it.Not a single on air talent thought Griff should be the starter, doesnt look any better than last yr,etc etc.
Cooley did his film breakdown,he tried to be as diplomatic as possible but it was not good for Griff.Cooley didnt want to name the qb but you knew who he was talking about when asked about what our record will be this yr.Maximum 5 games with VY2 or 9 to 10 games with the other qb's on the roster.

Was Griffin’s concussion diagnosis a convenient way to dodge the media? | ProFootballTalk

Conspiracy theories abound. Members of the local media are speculating the concussion reports were to keep RG3 away from the media post game.

Explains why Joe reported that he was cleared of a concussion mid-game. Tandler says other members of the media that he trusts reported the same thing.

The Redskins did not want RG3 to talk to the moran media. They used the concussion as a way to get him off the hook. That was a smart move. RG3 has to learn that the media is not his friend and are only looking to sell stories.
