If anything...the conspiricy would be to set up Cousins to fail, to calm the fan base down to bring RG3 in as the saviour when Cousins throws 2 picks due to poor timing. Cousins throws to a spot on timing based on knowing his receivers. This is not going to be the same as throwing to the 2's. He is likely going to be late on the longer passes due to the speed differences. Check downs should be solid though. Let's watch for that. I actually have far more faith in Cousins' development into a solid pocket game manager aka a weaker armed Brad Johnson.
RG3 is someone who was supposed to revolutionize the game...he did for about 6 games in a row 3 years ago...then he got clobbered, I saw it personally...it sucked....and the drama...what drama! We cut a strong offensive coordinator in favor of a player for heaven sake. The Redskins do best as a TEAM...even when loudmouth Theismann was the QB, there were a half dozen others outspoken on both sides of the ball to balance him out....this team has never been successful with a single star or a potential one...be it Deon Sanders, Bruce Smith, or RG3.
We won superbowls with above average QB's with strong defenses and amazing Olines.
SCREW the QB position!!.
We need a game manager...that is all.
I want a TEAM....not a savior!! and a coach who inspires and commands respect.
The reality is ....we dont have any of these right now....except...I really do think Cousins could be a keeper...but we shall see tomorrow when they throw him to the dogs in a very difficult situation with a weak still developing line.
One thing I trust...our new GM....in 3 years, this team will look far different, unless Danny screws it up or McG goes back to the bottle.
Skinsnut look if a backup QB has to replace the starter during a game he didn't work with the 1's all week so whats the difference now with Kirk. He has been in the system as long as RG3 so don't make excuses for him now. He is going to get a chance to start against the Ravens 1st team so lets see how he does.

This is definitely pretty nuts, but I gotta keep up my broken record message. It doesn't matter who plays QB, none of them are good.

The sooner fans get this through their heads, the better they'll be.

Football is a TEAM sport.
11 at a time. 22 starters. No Heros.
Football is a game of war, obtaining territory to achieve a goal by force.
There is no room for stars. Let those willing to sacrifice themselves for the whole rise up.
The TEAM is what football is about.
We should remove names from jerseys, ban dancing, first down gestures, etc.
Football should be like rugby. Beat the crap out of each other and let the strongest win.
At least when you lose something like that, you have respect.

I don't care if we go 0-16, bring back the hogs and the biggest, meanest bastards in the NFL...we just need 5 O linemen and 3 Dlinemen that scare the crap out of the world. With that...I can live as a fan with respect!

40 year in and sick of this crap.
I want to see my team punch someone in the mouth, over and over again, 4 brutal yards at a time...it is called the RIGGO DRILL.
Nothing in sports has ever been as delightful!!
Back to the basics...screw this primadana bullcrap.
Not only I want us to win....I want us to deliver some serious pain to whoever messes with Washington!
Go SKINS.
I see GREAT THINGS for the skins with a QB (cousins) who knows he is there to do his job....nothing more....nothing less....best wishes to Captain Kirk!

Yea lets bring back the horse and buggy and get rid of our vehicles while were are at it. That sounds good but football has evolved and if you don't you get left behind. That's why teams with great QB's and coaches when Super Bowls.

Im sick of all of it. NFL network and ESPN and all the damn speculations... Smh its a.bunch of.bullshit... We don't .... Don't... Have an offense right now that Robert will succeed in .... 2012 and the read option one to three read offense was it for this kid imo... I'm fucking sick of jay gruden and his shit handling of all situations ever.... I'm over all of it. Don't even know what to say at this point. I hope cousins plays well tomorow night and keeps playing well and they stick by a fucking qb for once I don't give a shit if he throws four picks in one game.Christ peyton did that against the pats in the playoffs once maybe... Might have been less lol but still... Qbs throw picks, get over it. Man I'm sick of all of it.

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

Here's the deal I want to see with Cousins, command of the huddle, pocket awareness, ability to deliver to 3rd option. ability to call protections, 3rd down conversions on 3rd and less than 8, zero fumble tolerance. 1-2 picks a game. 1-2 TD's a game. Move the ball, win time of possession.
He must learn to not telegraph his throws...must look off defenders (weakness)
I do trust his ability to develop.
If he could develop head fakes left to throw right, he could potentially be like a brady type manager. I know that is an outrageous statement...but, solid knowledge, management and delivery makes a 10 play offensive drive with a TD possible.
Nothing spectacular....just 10X 5 yards at a time without a pick to score.

So you want Cousins to be a hall of famer this year. Got it. Me too.

Brady is the most spectaluarist game manager ever

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

We are the laughingstock of the league for 95% of other fans, and rightfully so. This type sh*t just doesn't happen to other teams. It wasn't like, he isn't playing Saturday and will be fine for the next week, it went from cleared, to possibly not even being tested for 2 more weeks. WTF? Someone lied here, either the Redskins or the doctor. It doesn't make any sense. This franchise is just ridiculous to root for. And no, I'm not going to stop rooting for them, I'm a Skins fan forever, but hell if it isn't a joke on all of us.

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

Ideally, I want RG3 to be healthy and get to start for 16 games. But this is exhausting.

I want the Redskins to trade/cut ANY 2 of the 3 quarterbacks currently on the roster, whoever is the last one left starts, sign an undrafted or cut young free agent to be the backup, and go with a 2 man depth chart at the position.

Just end it! For all our sakes.

We should have signed ryan fitzpatrick dude... No but really, Kirk has had a couple meltdown games dude im not sold for one damn second. A guy like andrew luck throws 3 picks and still leads a game winning 4th quarter drive. The way that dude looked on the bench was demoralized. At least griffins got heart. They just need to let rg loose until he gets hurt if thats his destiny. Screw trying to develop him into a pocket guy just let his scramble randle cunningham style until its over . Concussion smushin. These things happen. Colt has heart id rather him over cousins.

People seem to forget that Robert himself (and his dad for that matter) said. I want to be a pocket qb. He made it loud and clear. Well we tried and...... Well.
