I don't know man, schefter is pretty reputable.

I also believe bmitch when he says scot and dan met for 2 hours mid-week.

If Snyder is resisting Scot, we are screwed. Excuse my language but F Snyder. So tired of his crap.

In the end, he works for ESPN. ESPN is in the entertainment business, not the truth business. And with the Redskins especially, truth doesn't matter. The narrative is out there that Washington is a dysfunctional circus(not saying that's not true to some degree), so any report that supports that narrative is automatically assumed to be true by the vast majority of people. Schefter and Diana and whoever else could have easily pulled these reports out of their ass and reported it as coming from a "source" because even if they're wrong no one will remember.

Diana or whoever is probably trying to make names for self.

However, I wouldn't put schefter in that boat. Sheehan and Loverro on espn980 try to bait him every Wednesday on his weekly segment and schefter never takes it...redskins or nfl. He's not the sensationalist, will say anything for attention crap journalist that permeates most of Espn.

I think this backs up the rumors i heard.

SM and JG want to get rid of RG3 - Dan Snyder tells them that they either play him or they will be fired. Not so hard to believe.

RG3 the coach killer stays in Washington - JG, and SM fired - Snyder takes control of the team for the rest of the season until another GM and HC is hired. Totally believable IMO

I'm not commenting on true/false, just that this is absolute suicide for an organization and warrants pitchforks after Snyder.

Of course! He shows up in the locker room, points a gun at everyone, and says, "raise your hand if you don't think RG3 is a great qb." Then the first idiot stupid enough to raise his hand gets shot, and everyone else stays along for the ride. TL;DR: I too believe Snyder is so power hungry that he wants to be owner, GM, and head coach. Hell, if RG3 got injured in that scenario, he'd probably tell the equipment manager to suit him up so he can play qb too.

You are making fun of my post and i understand - it does seem crazy re-visiting what I wrote earlier.

BUT - one of the things that I did consider was if Dan Snyder was so angry over the RG3 situation that he really did decide to coach the team himself. I have often wondered why Dan hasn't done that, he has tried everything else.

Is it at least safe to assume that either Gruden or SM is on borrowed time over the RG3 situation??

I think the part of your equation that you are missing is the public perception. Dan very much cares about public perception of himself. Even though he stays out of the public eye, the times he chooses to talk to the media he tries to present a carefully crafted image of himself. He's even hired people (Tony Wyllie if memory serves) to rehab the image of himself and his team. If he actually went through with the "owner, gm, coach" scenario that would destroy any image rehab he has done the past few years. Firing a gm he literally just hired months ago? That would be insane, and make him look insanely foolish. The public perception of him is "worst NFL owner." He obviously doesn't want to keep that label, and he would be in the running for "worst NFL owner of all time" if he actually tried being a GM and/or the coach. Not trying to rag on you too hard bro, but I gotta call it like I see it.

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

It's not impossible. How else could that conversation go?

The football people like JG and company tell Dan Snyder they don't beleive they can win with RG3, etc... Scott M tells him they want to move on from RG3, etc..

Dan Snyder tells them no way - that they will play RG3 and that's that.

JG and SM resist - and Dan threatens them with their jobs.

Do you really think either of those guys will stand up to Snyder?

The only thing I can't understand is why Snyder hires people to make the football decisions, yet only ends up making those decisions himself, then fires the people after said decisions don't work out, eg a 3-13 record, etc...

.....Creating your "truth" out of the air to fit the most dramatic scenario possible is for "reality tv", not reality......

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

I can TOTALLY buy the owner and Bruce....resisting(not to mention B and D drafted him...SM and Jay did not). I would too! He has a fortune in Robert. How's the conversation go
Dan: "DAMN boys! I paid a shitload of cash and picks to get this kid. We damn near kill him 6 or 8 times and now you tell me he sucks and you want to start 3rd round KC that I got $18 in?
Well F.. Me Runnin'!!...Shit Shit Shit!!!
OK give me tonight to get my head around this and we'll revisit in the morning"
I can believe that.

Play him or your both fired even though he sucks....I don't think so
