There are so many possible reasons to play him at RG especially this week.

My first thought what better way to test Scherff's ability then to play him against Watt? And he'll get more work against Watt at RG then RT.

Callahan wants to work his OL at different spots for depth purposes and you need to play guys at different spots to build that depth.

If Moses is a better RT then Long is a RG and Scherff is good at either spot what do you do? You put the best OL out there and if its Scherff RG and Moses RT then so be it.

Having a stud at RG is a huge plus for the offense and it would be huge upgrade from watching Chester get pushed 2 yarda into the backfield every snap.
