Re: All Arrington All The Time (Mega Merge Club Mix)

After watching the Gregg Williams interview on Redskins.com (must see tv) I have no doubt that LaVar will play more as the season progresses. GW says that turnovers come in bunches and thanks to mheisig's stats we have stats to back up the claim that Lavar is a playmaker.

LaVar will make an impact soon enough, he's just too good of a football player. The cream always rises to the top.

Bottom line, G. Williams knows what he's doing and I trust him. The whole Brunell-Ramsey thing should have taught all of us here in Internet-Football land to maybe have a little faith in the guys getting paid millions to make these decisions.

I disagree. If he knew what he was doing. Denver and Seattle would not have scored. If he knew what he was doing then he would still be in Buffalo. He is not perfect and neither is Lavaar. But bottom line the Redskins have not blitzed this year. So maybe they are saving him for the long haul which makes a better thought.

I think Arrington should be in the game. We arent getting that great of pressure on the qb, we arent getting turnovers. Arrington, playing under williams system, would give us an added threat.

I Feel Bad For LaVar

I just heard his interview on Sportalk. He sounds depressed. I feel bad for him...but not on a football level, its on a people level i feel bad for him. He's a good person and he seems to be getting screwed because no one wants to be honest with him. What do u guys think?

Man, I don't know what to think. If we do have a winning season and he isn't allowed to be a part of it, (for whatever reason)...

it will be a shame.

Re: I Feel Bad For LaVar

I really dont know what to think. I think there HAS to be more to this than we know. I mean he is probaboly the only person who is suited up that didnt play a single down on offense, defense or special teams. I really think there has to be more to it than we know.

Going by what we do know, I feel bad for him too. I'm a skins fan first though, so I dont know. Theres more to this though.

I heard the same interview, and I feel bad too. I really hope everything gets taken care of and he's back on the field soon. He really feels bad, and to me it sounded like he's was depressed.

Re: I Feel Bad For LaVar

I don't feel bad for him at all. If he does wtf he is suppose to in practice and be the player he can be, he would be on the field. Apparently he is the new "McCants" of the team....not learning the scheme very well and certainly not playing the part well enough to knock off Holdman who seems to be doing just fine.

I agree there is something we don't know about, and wouldn't be surprised that it's contract related and the agreement to remove the arbitration,etc...wouldn't put it past ol' Danny Boy to come up with something.

But if he isn't doing well within the system, GW is not going to put him on the field...PERIOD and that appears to be what is happening and the coaching staff is certainly standing behind their assessments.

You can't be serious - McCants??? Please then explain, how can a three-timel All-Pro, who played under this same system last year suddenly be relagated to 5th string? What an insult. I'm a huge Gregg Williams fan, and an even bigger Joe Gibbs fan, but please don't try and tell me the only reason he's not playing is because he doesn't know the system.

If that's the case then, let the man go somewhere he can play. If it's not, then play him!!!

Re: I Feel Bad For LaVar

I dont care what anyone says, the Redskins treat their players like crap. They dump Ramsey after telling him all preseason that he is the man, they dump Smoot, Pierce, Champ, McCants, and now LaVar ( a guy who been nothing more than a great player on the field, as well as a money maker. How many of you have a LaVar jersey?) And for that matter the skins under Snyder treat their fans like crap too! I was watching the chargers game last night and in the stands they had those "rally rags" swingin around, when was the last time FEDEX passed out a freebie? Afterall we do pay the highest ticket prices in sports, not to mention the parking fees. The Redskins used to be a class organization that took care of its players and fans WTF? At least we are winning.

We pay the highest prices because the fans keep paying it! Not too mention there are about 50,000 on the waiting list to pay again! Until the fans say no, they will continue to pay the high prices. I don't look for free shit when I go to a game, its just nice to be there! Hail to Danny, if we keep paying it, keep on charging it. And if the players keep screwing around, get rid of their sorry asses. This is a TEAM, does Lavar make the team better? We really don't know that because he can't work himself into the lineup....I can remember countless posts about Lavar and his lack of discipline on the field just last year before he got hurt...this defense is about DISCIPLINE and if he doesn't get it, he doesn't play.
