I wonder the same thing. I know Cooley isn't going to be top 10 - maybe not even top 20 - but i think he could still be a contributor to this team.

He comes at no risk, and now that he wants to waive basically all of his rights just to play - it seems like they'd be able to find something he could do.

I'm baffled they at least didn't work Cooley out.....

I got carried away with excitement there.

I'm wondering how waiving negotiated rights in a union shop would work under the CBA. I'm not sure, off the cuff, if he could.
