Re: All things Redskins training camp
I love Cooley. He loves this team, does insightful analysis and was great / good for us at TE. But he's past his prime, and although he actually probably could contribute this year for us (come on, we're down to our 5th TE, and comparing him to rookies / converted OTs / TE who haven't played last year) --> I think it's a waste given the opportunity to develop a young TE for depth in the future. As stated, Cooley needs to cool it, and keep quiet. Why make an a$$ of himself now with the team -- he has a promising commentator spot for years.
Griffin - also needs to learn better phrasing so media doesn't go crazy each time. J.Reed - is not MKelly, because he was actually great when healthy. MKelly was only average when healthy. |

Re: All things Redskins training camp
I think they are handling the TE problem, the smart way. Just waiting to see who pops up, and not panicking, or making a stupid trade. Maybe Reed can stay healthy, either him or Griffin will get hurt though.

Re: All things Redskins training camp
I hadn't heard Cooley on the radio until this morning. I can't believe he did that, seems like a conflict of interest in his position on the radio show.

This is another test to see if McC truely has the control...if Cooley gets a tryout...Danny Boy aka the worst owner in the league still is meddling.

Re: All things Redskins training camp
Sorry, but when I saw Jordan Reed in camp...he was a top 5 player on the field..well running routes, catch radius, big target, man-handling DB etc. Blocking meh...

Archer rocks. I only started watching at season 3, but was hooked instantly.

The answer to Cooley's inquiries by any executive at Redskins Park should have been "Talk to Scot. It's his decision". Earth to Cooley: You are done so please stop with the nonsense.

Re: All things Redskins training camp
why would you invite that drama into your locker room anyways? you know cooley is in the media and everything that goes on is going to be leaked either during the season or once he gets cut, and he might be bitter about it, which would color his comments.
it's just a terrible idea, and cooley needs to realize that and let it go. |
