Reality isn't going to set in for him until he's cut and borderline out of the NFL. He will not get a starting gig on another team (not running a read option offense) playing like he does. That much is pretty much guaranteed. So with that in mind, the days of him having to actually earn that position is what is either going to humble him or cause him to fold like a cheap tent. Who knows, he may just continue to blame others to why his failure is happening instead of looking in the mirror and putting in the mental work that goes along with being a QB.
