Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
I've never liked RG3's talking. But in the end all that matters to me is his performance.
What he says, and what the media says about what he says, only fills in the gaps in the offseason with a bunch of noise. I don't really care what he said and I don't really care what B Mitch has to say about it (even if he's right). I just want to see Robert perform well.

In the short term, what if he has a poor game against Detroit tonight? If he does, the media will eat him alive, even though they created the controversy to begin with!

The whole media thing is just being blown up by the media. Why? Because people like you eat it up and they get paid. If RG3 never talked to the media, there would be another reason they would come up with to do this, and you would eat that up as well. If he was a media darling and said everything right, they would come up with something else to make it the story they want. He was a #2 overall and being talked about as a bust, that is all thats necessary for this to happen, saying the right or wrong things to the media is not required. |

Nevertheless, I don't live in a vacuum, so I know something of what's going on in Redskins Nation. In real life, I also know enough to keep my head down, my ears open, and my mouth shut while I'm learning a trade. That maxim would seem to me to apply even to NFL QB's.
