Kicked my teams ass for the entire first half in every phase of the game including coaching. Damn good RB. Excellent TE. Suh was not much of a factor. You did a lot of good things. KC is going to be good.

I dont criticize the run call, what I criticize is a power run with Thompson when we have Alfred and Jones. Get Thompson outside or run a draw with him. I dont really fault him for going for that second FG.

We get that crazy fumble that we gain possession of in Miami territory. We get a weird drop back pass to the FB where Young had to break a tackle just to get back to the line of scrimmage followed by a WR screen with no one blocking. Just throw it to the WR at the line of scrimmage while he is covered. There were others as well, just those are the ones that stick out to me. There were times we were moving the ball and he went away from what was working and it stalled drives.
Most of the drives that stalled seemed more due to penalties than play calling. There are not nearly as many plays to call for 3rd and 29 as there are for 3rd and 4

I know we all want to win and the losing starts to piss you off but jesus fucking christ what did you expect to see out there today???????

All we've talked about all off season is "It's okay to lose some games as long as we look improved." DID WE NOT LOOK IMPROVED??

Yes, there were still blown plays and things to fix but thats expected when you're REBUILDING. We knew we couldn't fix the entire team in one off season but I saw DEFINITE improvement.

It's disgusting to see some of the "fans" on here throwing in the towel when it's week 1. Have some faith and support your fucking team for once and maybe they'll reward you with some harder play.

This!!!!!!! Some of you guys need to chill the f out..

I didn't like that play call either. Should have just called a screen or a draw and then punted. But that was no excuse. KC has to just toss that one in the stands. Other than that one play he took care of the ball.

I dont recall saying every drive that stalled was due to that. I listed ones that I thought were though. Which is why I said "There were times..."

Five of our first six draft picks played today. That's a good draft class.

Really continually disappointed with Andre Roberts. All he does is drop passes. Yeah he made a couple of plays but he is so unreliable.

I'm ready to see him take a back seat to some of the young bucks.

Wasn't terribly disappointed with the overall game. Tons of missed opportunities though.

He seems to make some difficult catches (had a real nice one today that was behind him and low), then drops his share of easy ones. With both Grant and Crowder, he does become an option to get cut next offseason. This year it would have cost us money to cut him but this is the last year of that.

I bet Ross is our No. 3 next week. I like Grant but he just doesn't stretch the field.

No I get why he is on the roster, just not why he gets on the field. Would rather see a Grant or Crowder get their touches.

Why isn't Crowder playing in the slot? God knows he can't do any worse than Roberts and I'm pretty sure he's faster.

I think Grant is going to end up being more of a possession receiver. He wont stretch the field but he can get himself open for shorter stuff. He runs the best routes on the team. I think Grant will be his best when there is D Jax or Ross to stretch the field to let him work the shorter stuff and/or the over the middle stuff.

I think he can compliment them like Monk complimented Clark and Sanders. Certainly not saying he will remotely touch Monk in terms of talent and what he did on the field, just that type of player.

I think as the year goes on, it will probably happen. Let the young ones get their feet under them first and gain some confidence, then see what happens.

Yeah. That's the role I see for him too.
If DJax is out, then bring Ross up to stretch the field with PG, have Crowder in the slot and bring Grant in on 4 wide sets.

Re: Good, bad and ugly. Post game reactions vs Dolphins

Good:
  • Offensive line manhandled the Phins DL on run and pass support.
  • Kirk Cousin played well minus the one bad INT
  • Alfred Morris was amazing
  • Defensive line dominated for the most part

Bad:
  • Special teams coverage is still horrible.
  • Kai is shaky. Not sure why we got rid of that FG kicker we drafted last year.
  • Penalties. A huge sign of lack of discipline. This is primarily why we lost.
  • David Amerson is still garbage.
  • Roberts needs to be cut. Drops too many passes.

We absolutely dominated the Dolphins in this game in yards and time of possession.

Skins offense: 349 total yards
Phins offense: 256 total yards

Skins passing yards: 188
Phins passing yards: 182

Skins rushing yards: 161
Phins rushing yards: 74

Skins time of possession: 37:54
Phins time of possession: 22:06

Dolphins vs. Redskins - Team Statistics - September 13, 2015 - ESPN

We had 20 first downs for the entire game and we moved the ball easily. Fucking penalties killed us. You aren't going to win any games with 11 penalties unless you have supreme talent to overcome it, which we aren't anywhere close to that.
