Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?

Rambo getting AFC does not surprise me..we gave up on him to quick..4 weeks ago we had cousins on the scrap heap..only a very few fans wanted to give him a chance. This fan base is very fickle ..one great game we put the guy in hall of fame one bad game and we want to cut him..wait till cousins throws a few picks and watch what happens. I know its because of all the years of losing but if we want the owner and culture to change WE THE FANS need to change. most of the fan base before last week wanted Morris gone..one good game and he's back?? Look at all the big name coaches having hard times now with good teams. We got a good thing going on and we need to stay on course..I really don't think we are going to win at charlotte but if we play solid and they mess up we could ..at best the skins are a 9 win team and i doing care how we get there.

I don't think in the history of professional sports has a fan cut a player.

Did someone on here cut Rambo?

I definitely deserved that! I don't mind being thought of as Kirk's #1 fan but I must admit that I do get a bit bombastic about him from time to time. I mean, I love what he's done so far this season. I want so much for our QB problems to be solved that I may tend to overrate him.

Nevertheless, if I could sign him I would. I think he's a mid-tier starter right now and I don't think he's anywhere near reaching his ceiling.

I think he'll probably get a 3-year $45MM deal with $15MM guaranteed. You may think that's high but, as long as he continues to improve, there will be enough interest in him to command that kind of money. There are some weak-ass starting QB's in the NFL right now and the 2016 QB draft class is nothing special.

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?

We are a short timing pattern pass offense(ie west coast), we are not a run first offense. Won't be under JG, and truthfully Matt Jones can excel in the short game. People who want KC to throw under 30-35 times a game are not going to be happy, unless of course we start winning.

I'm curious what type of money they think Fitzpatrick and Tyrod would get if they were in Kirk's shoes?

The fans didn't cut Rambo. The Redskins did. As you know, he was horrible while he was here, so please don't try to re-write history. If he has turned his career around, good for him!

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?

Don't want to hijack this thread but since Rambo was brought up, I will say that when we drafted him most analysis on him said that is was purely based on potential because of his athleticism and physicality. He definitely was not an NFL-ready player, not even by rookie standards.

With that said, not every team is in a good position to sit around and wait for someone to take 3 seasons to blossom. If I remember correctly, when he was drafted, injuries at the position forced him into a role he was clearly not ready for. The ideal situation for a rookie Rambo would have been a late round draft pick up for a team that is already pretty solid in their secondary so he could sit back learn the system, hone is skills, and then slowly be implemented into the game.

I think him being cut from our team was justified at the time. It doesn't mean he still didn't have potential to be a good player one day, it just wasn't a good fit here. Also, before we go crowning him a "stud" He has still looked prety iffy at numerous times this season. One great game will not define him.

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?

Rambo has been good in Buffalo in general, not just in this one game. I think it's a matter of coaching and scheme fit. Say what you want about Rex but the guy gets a lot out of his defensive talent.

The coaching is different. And he's not being asked to do what doesn't suit his strengths.

I'm happy he fits in with what Buffalo is trying to do with him. When he picked off Aaron Rodgers twice last year I knew the reasons why. Rambo is truly a great safety.

Truly a great safety huh.

I saw a fox last night having sex with a raccoon. The babies will look like this.
