Also, the Pats play Philly this week, so anything Trey can do to help beat Philly would be a good thing. If anyone can find a play or two to use his speed, it would be Belichick. When the Pats cut him, perhaps you can get him back.

Re: First place Redskins
I feel like smart teams know which GMs have a good eye for talent, and figure that if they're going to take a flyer on somebody, it might as well be on a player who was liked by a GM with a reputation like McCloughan's.

Re: First place Redskins
NFL.COM has the 2016 draft order and team neeed. Here is what they have for the skins.
26. Washington Redskins 2015 record: 5-6 (.529) Top need: Center Other needs: Wide receiver, cornerback, defensive line, offensive tackle I do not understand the OT need. |

Re: First place Redskins
I would pout safety over most of the others in that "other needs" category. If Moses keeps playing like he has, the only need at OT is better depth to deal with injuries.

Re: First place Redskins
It was probably written by someone who doesn't follow the team and reads headlines. I doubt Morgan Moses shows up in many stat lines or headlines.

Re: First place Redskins
Losing this game changes everything IMO about our path to a division title. We can't win on the road, and often look awful on the road, but in order to get to 8-8 we have to win at least 2 road games out of the 3 remaining and of those 2 are division games.

If the Pats offered up a 1st for Jackson would you do it? I think I would.

First place Redskins
We should lock down this thread. No one should be talking first place this or playoffs that until we can win more than 1 game in a row and/or a single road game.

Re: First place Redskins
The more I watch the gameplan on offense the more it brings me back to Scot McCloughan's quote before the season regarding 2015 paraphrasing,

Re: First place Redskins
I wonder if DY could line up as a Tight End a few times a game at least for the purpose of blocking? His lead blocking for Morris under Shanahan was pretty stout.
Get him out there line him up, get him involved. |

Re: First place Redskins
I don't think McClu vision involves sucking at running the ball. I don't think our current run game resembles Seattle or the 49ers at all.

The running game looked a lot different before Lavauo and the other starter went down. That drastically changed the ability of this line to run block. The offense early in the season was much more run-heavy. Just because injuries have dictated an immediate deviation doesn't mean the bigger picture which will take 2-3 offseasons to see through, is not still the goal. |
