Last year we weren't good enough to beat anybody and has really no bearing on our likelihood to stay in first place for the rest of this season. We've got 3 road games remaining but they're not against strong teams like our games to date have been.

check the bell curve too with the Pats and Panthers record, 2 best teams in the league no question with only 1 loss...kinda skewing the W-L record. Cousins only road win starting a game was Cleveland in 2012... Let me spin this: We been one of the best home teams this year...and protecting home is more important than on the road. Lets see how we finish..its about improving at this point |

This thread is not a referendum on Gruden's performance as head coach which you are wont to do, it's about first place. If you're going to talk about our ability to finish in first like we are right now, you have to look at our chances in the five games coming up, which includes the three on the road. What I'm saying is simple. We've got a bad road record because our opponents have been New England, Carolina, New York Jets and Giants (we never play well in the Meadowlands), and Atlanta. The only one with a losing record is the Giants, and barely. Our upcoming road opponents are garbage in comparison. The opponent is the much more meaningful factor than the location.

Look gruden and cousins Have Not performed well on the road...this isn't speculation but historical fact. this is a hurdle the team needs to get over by winning...gruden and team needs to show me they can. |

First place Redskins

Lets read between the lines, shall we? Last year he inherited an absolute dumpster fire. That team simply was not built to win games period - let alone on the road. This year we have lost to 5 pretty good teams on the road. Giants, Jets, Panthers, Patriots, Falcons. That is one bitch of a road schedule. |

I think you misread my post. I dont think division games on the road are ever easy. I dont think chicago is going to be easy. That was my point. . As i said i dont think any of our road games this year are easy. Quite the opposite. Its been a brutal road schedule by any teams standards. So do i think it is a "concern" that Gruden has not won on the road this year? No. I think its been a tough ass road schedule. Edit: when they start dropping games to 2-3-4 win type teams than its a concern. |

Should have won Falcons game. Anyway maybe they make up for it with one of these road games. Imo they need 2 of 3 road games. |

Giants going 2-3 down the stretch beating the Dolphins n Eagles and losing to Carolina, Jets, and Vikings. Puts them at 7-9. Skins imo can win out. Bills are probably the best team we face and it is a home game. Bears on the road even is tough but certainly winnable. Dallas twice and Philly. Fuck them. Lol. Funny thing is 7-9 could easily win this division. |

Re: First place Redskins
Chicago is not the same team it was a few weeks ago, they are much better. Forte is back, Lankford has proven to be the heir to Forte, Jeffries is back and their D is playing much better. If there's one team that worries me, it's the bears.
