F$ck Dallas! Game thread

So frustrating. A missed kick here. A bad call there (several actually). We could have won it but honestly, Dallas seemed like they wanted it more. That is disappointing. We looked like we were afraid to lose, not gunning to win. No killer instinct.

Exactly.

KC looked like he was wound up like a jack-in-the-box. Missing open receivers. Afraid to make a mistake. Gruden played the whole game like he was afraind to lose.

The line struggled to block and the RBs couldn't pick up a blitz so KC was under pressure and forced to hurry all night. I thought he played pretty good considering.

He didn't throw a pick - that was good. Yes, he was under pressure. However, he did nothing consistently to make Dallas back out of it - either by passing over or around it, audible out of plays that were headed in to the teeth of it, or making pre-snap adjustments to the blocking. Maybe he did some of these, but I didn't see it.

Lots of reasons we lost - mostly b/c no one did enough to win. KC was very much part of that equation.

Kirk's reluctance to change plays at the line was definitely a problem. There were a number of times the Cowboys linebackers showed their hand with a good ten seconds left on the play clock and Cousins didn't make adjustments. He needs to get better at that, and there's no reason to think he won't.

Jay gruden should not have djax returning punts. Dumb coaching mistake squarely on him.

Our offense scares no one. That is squarely on Jay as well.

People talking about cousins are wasting their fucking breath. Please take time to look at the offense as a whole, it's not worth a shit.

DJax makes a stupid, selfish play and you say it's on the coach? How can that be on the coach? Was Gruden supposed to know in advance that DJax would fuck up? I think you're off base on that thought.

As for our conservative offense, to me it doesn't look much different than the offense Jay ran in Cincy. I think he is a conservative play-caller at heart; however, with better personnel I think that could work for us in the future.

Marinelli did a great job of exploiting the inexperience of our OL. Also, we need a decent C and a TE who can block. A RB who can pick up blitzes wouldn't hurt either.

We fans just need to remember that this is Year One of the team build. I think that Scot, Jay, and the position coaches are doing a good job of finding and developing players who can provide quality depth for this team. We just need to find some true studs in the draft and FA over the next TWO years. By 2017 we will be a perennial contender.

Jay Gruden is a fuckin terrible coach. DJax should never been down there to run the ball back.

Marinelli out coached Jay allllllll game. Jay never adjusted.

How do we have 5 turnovers the last couple games and come out with 3 points total?

Jay Gruden didn't have the team ready to play last night...at home, prime time for first place. The Offense wasn't ready. Didn't try to run the ball

Since Jay Gruden left Cincy, the offense has been much better. Dalton is a better QB and Cincy actually looks like a threat now...the best thing Cincy ever did was to hand Hue Jackson the reigns of that offense. Much, much better.

Didn't try to run the ball?! I must have been watching a different game because in the the game I watched the team wearing Skins uniforms definitely tried to run the ball.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread

Plenty of excuses for not winning -- but when you get right down to it, offense scheme / play-calling / execution never found an answer for their pressure. Sean Lee just owned the interior OLine. Kirk played poorly and, until the very end, never made them pay for bringing pressure.

Should never have come down to DJax punt returns. We had THREE turnovers, two of them in Dallas territory, all we had to show for it was THREE points. Horrible.
Defense gave the offense plenty of opportunities but the offense could not capitalize on them.

BTW - Hey KC, there were no positives from this. None. You should feel like crap.

Well, at least you haven't said anything bad about Kirk's mother - yet.

This has been the story of our season. Defense getting takeaways and the offense not capitalizing on them. This right here is the reason the team lost the game.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread

This game was very similar to the one last week against NY. Defense got the offense turnovers and the offense can't do shit except piss all over themselves. Just not one god damn ounce of creativity on offense. I've seen enough from Gruden to know I'm just not impressed with him running an NFL offense, and sure as hell not impressed with him as a play caller. His offense reminds me of Rod Dowhower in 1993.
