Cooley has been campaigning to get signed ever since Niles Paul and Logan Paulson went down. There's gotta be some reason the team hasn't even given him a look. Otherwise I don't see why they wouldn't have even let him workout and/or tryout.

On ESPN 980 Czaban or Gauldi went off on SM for not giving Cooley a shot. Cooley, unlike the rest of the year, just left it alone, so clearly the team isn't giving him a chance.
Yet the team clearly still is on good terms with him, he's on their broadcast team and sees all their film (which is an argument for him being brought in). Cooley did swear that he is in shape for 3 games (made it sound like earlier in the season they didn't think he would be able to go through the whole season)
