I have seen Lavar over persue play's time and again and get burned, there's no way to know if he makes those plays on Bell. The funny part about this whole thing is Lavar doesn't seem to want to listen to Williams, apparently he continues to believe he knows more than GW and refuses to do what's asked of him, he's his own worst enemy. |

I have no problem with someone not agreeing with the decision, after all that's what we're here for. But to hear some people take it to such extremes as to question the knowledge and integrity of our coaches is really ridiculous and a slap in the face to what these guys are all about. Saying you don't agree is one thing, but saying that Williams doesn't know what he's doing, he's hurting the team by not playing him, etc., etc., is laughable. These same kind of comments were directed towards Gibbs when he benched Ramsey, and look how that has turned out. That should have been enough to show us that hey, maybe these coaches know what they're doing after all. If we can't trust the coaches who can we trust? |

I'll trust Williams and his decisions and afterall, didn't Lavar cry that Gibbs and the Skins are rushing him along after his injury and showed no compassion.........

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
There are some who are convinced of the fact LaVar has never truly embraced JG and this coaching staff. How many remember the very first interview with LaVar after JG anounced he was returning to the team? He did not receive a ringing endorsement from LaVar. It was more or less "We have been loosing so much, and to the effect he was leary things would change." JG has had several serious heart to heart talks with LaVar and we as fans do not know the degree of those discussions. There has been so many things going on with him in the last eighteen months that I'm sure if we knew all the factors to be considered, maybe we would have a better understanding of why he is not playing. There are obviously many things to consider and the most important ones have not been printed. Joe Gibbs is the face of the Redskins now, and it could be that is not exactly to LaVar's liking.

Redskins pregame show. Williams was interviewed. He dodged the LaVar question. Then, right after, they started talking about the Denver offense.
The very first words out of his mouth were, the coaching is amazing. The change the offense to fix the talent they have. After I got my jaw off the ground, I game to post this. Ahhh, hello. How can you admire that so much in another coach but you don't do it yourself. Actually, changing the plays to fit the offense is something Gibbs was know for also. I think in some ways Williams doenst need as many stars for his system. Actually, do some extend, he is probably better without them. Maybe its one of those things we in 2 years, everyone can know the D well enough that you can get more agreesive from there. |

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
I am not a big name caller but at the risk of sounding petty and bitchy anyone who thinks Lavar should be playing or that Lavar isn't playing for any other reason than performance issues is just plain retarded.
I'd love one of you morons to say to Williams' or Gibbs' face that Lavar isn't playing because of some contract dispute. I think Gibbs' might punch you and I imagine Williams' might have Sean Taylor kill you. How anyone can think that either of those guys would sacrifice the supposed playmaking ability that you all seem to think we cannot live without to the detriment of the team is mind boggling. And to think that somehow the coaches just don't seem to understand how Lavar JUST HAS TO PLAY because he is so great is only slightly less moronic. You see anyone on our defense that freelances? No. Why not? Because their ass is on the bench when they do. Williams' defense is predicated on 11 guys doing their job. If the 11 guys play together and everyone does their job then the defense is going to win the battle. If one guy blows an assignment for any reason then they are screwed. Why? Because the other 10 guys are doing their job and don't have the ability to drop what they're doing to pick up someone else's mistake. There is no "Package" where they can just put Lavar in to rush the QB constantly. They'll get burned as soon as every team watches the tape and sees that all he does is rush the QB. He has to be able to play IN THE SCHEME otherwise he brings nothing but risk with little reward. |

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)
the skins are just getting back at lavar for his actions during the off season and to keep him healthy so they can trade him this upcoming off season, he's going to cost a lot of money. his not playing has nothing to do with his ability or lack of ability to play in GW's defense.

This is how I see the argument basically breaking down: -Lavar was good when actually played like two years ago. He can rush the passer and plays very athletically. He made big plays and was dominant. -He is 100% healthy now and is better than both Holdman and Clemons. -Arrington had a dispute with the FO on his contract that created some bad blood as well as hard feelings about his injury situation last year ---All this equals to Arrignton not playing because they don't like some of the things he ahs done in the past and are willing to forego what he'd bring to the table by benching him. Is this accurate? |
