“What I needed was not to go throw the football more, I needed to be learning from a guy who really knows the game inside and out so that mentally I could own protections and own reads and concepts and progressions to where I can do it in my sleep,” he said. “That was going to be the difference for me from being what I was last year to being a much better quarterback. You have to get around somebody who really knows the game.”

quick interesting read. apparently last year when cousins was 3rd string he reached out and got outside-organization from a QB/WR training academy "throw it deep" and Jon gruden.
