Basically the Jeffrey Lurie told Kelly he was taking away personnel decisions and hiring a GM. I think the owner expected him to agree to this, but Kelly balked leaving him no choice. I think the reason they didn't wait until after the season was because by Monday they want to start looking for a GM. While you can say Kelly the coach did well, Kelly the GM was god awful.
