Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

If Cousins keeps playing like this, maybe we can bring back RG3 for cheap. He is already familiar with the team and the scheme. Cousins hasn't done Much better then him 🐂💩

The first two losses people were booing Kirk. Now they are applaud him in the three wins. Just a slow start that's all.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

The big flaw in thinking free agency can help you, is people assume good players make it to free agency. Every now and then they do, due to various strange circumstances. Norman and DeSean Jackson were both examples.

But that's not common. Olivier Vernon was the best DE to make it to free agency this year. He had 7.5 sacks last year. That's not a good player.

Free agency should never be viewed as part of the plan. Your plan has to be building through the draft. And if you get lucky in free agency and a player comes available, then keep your cap in a good place so that you can pounce on the opportunity.

You use it as a way to be opportunistic and build out depth, you can't use it to build a foundation.

Anyone have access to PFF's breakdown of Ionnidis?

Cousins isn't playing really bad right now but hes not playing lights out either.
And we do have a wining record.
A question some of you should ask yourself is do I want to spend next years #1 pick on a new QB or on that big defensive lineman that we need?
I have concerns about Cousins but I'll take that run stuffer in the first round.

You are right..All it takes to win Super Bowl is slightly above average QB(last year Peyton manning was not great) HOWEVER there D was lights out! At this point I would rather have a stout D and above average QB ..maybe a solid Run game. We have very good wr's,good O line, great TE,good special teams..what we need is up front Dline help and chasing another QB is not gonna get us that.

36 snaps total...not enough data to give a consistent picture, but he wasn't great

You know how u just have a gut feeling about whether someone will ever be a "player" or not...well my gut doesn't like Ioannidis. From the moment we drafted him i just had a "meh" feeling.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

Here's a question, do you think kirk is going to improve as the season progresses like last year?

Im sceptical, I hope he is as I get my one and only chance to cheer the guys at Wembley and I'm praying we bring our A game against Dalton and AJ etc.

Yes - I think he will improve as the season goes on.

Great QB's struggle against the number one defense in the league.

We are 3 - 2 with the worst defense in the league. We are still on pace for 9 - 7 or 10 - 6.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

Dl all draft next year with a late Rd rb and a later Rd qb. I would love if we had a defense that other teams were scared of, instead of the defense that makes 2nd string and no name rbs have hof type days.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

Im kinda worried that if Reed is out, Cousins may have to fight through a speed bump on Sunday. I think Reed dictates coverage like Jackson and I think Reed is Cousins security blanket that he trusts.

At least we can game plan now assuming Reed will be out instead of this bombshell landing in our lap on a Friday.
