Agreed. Solid signing to lock this down for 5 years.

I love how we are keeping it low key and signing our own guys back. That's how you build a real team. Then those guys tell other guys that are free agents that we do things the right way.

Note - Obviously we don't resign every guy, that's not possible or expected.

Reyes seems like a meh type of signing. Just someone who ads depth, can hopefully play the run well and bring some leadership... like Ricky Jean did.

I think McC sees a guy who needs a fresh start who has had success in the past. I know zero bout the Reyes, but seems like he was targeted by the from office who knows his character and needs that fire re-lit. I think they consider him a rotational player along the defense. It's a no frills, low risk signing IMO who has a chance to payoff if this guy can recapture his form from his first couple years in the league.

Big ups to McC for locking up tress way. Unheralded, great season last year. Got us out some jams with big kicks, flipping field position. Love this move

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016

The Washington Post's Mike Jones reports the Redskins and free agent OLB Junior Galette (Achilles') remain far apart in negotiations.

Galette is after a one-year contract after tearing his Achilles' in training camp last year, but he does not appear ready to accept the incentive-based salary which normally comes with a "prove-it" deal. Jones reports the Redskins have offered one-, two- and three- year contracts, but each deal includes low base salaries with salary incentives. Other teams have interest, but Jones reports their offers are similar to Washington's. It appears this standoff could last quite some time.

Need to get this done

It is interesting from this article that the Redskins have the opportunity to match any offer Gallette receives from other teams. I have a feeling this may drag out, if Gallette wants to wait and see if there is any team out there who gives him a better offer as a result of some type of injury.

However, I feel that Gallette just needs to take whatever deal gets offered, because he's basically in the same situation he was last year. While I believe the off-field stuff is not an issue any more, his season ending injury is likely giving teams a pause in making him an offer close to what he wants.

Major injury + Indiana Jones beach video = not a lot of wiggle room.

He has the ultimate dickhead as his agent now as well. Really like to ask J.G. what does he expect at this point?
