Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Great point. I didn't even think of this. Would fit GM SM's vision perfectly. Great call.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Exactly what I meant, it felt like the coaches were alluding to him getting bigger and moving inside last year. He could easily put on weight and would be a force inside. That would allow us to take a safety or CB in the draft (come on Karl Joseph) instead of feeling stuck with taking one of the interior DLine players

anyways, #1 NT > #3-4 cb. if we're cutting culliver, then cb would be as important. |

Keim said as much on Cooley's radio show yesterday. Keim compared the change to the one Justin Smith went through in SF. Murphy is really tall but he seems like he has a different build than Smith and seems lanky. Not sure how that would work. He is strong against the run though at OLB. Would he be a better rotational player at DE than OLB, who knows?

Only six players had 10+ sacks in both the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Junior Galette was one of them.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Excited about Galette. I dont know much about Bruton, but the orange mane seems disappointed which is always a good sign.
![]() "He deserves the opportunity to compete for a starting spot somewhere. He's been nothing short of a pro's pro for us. Great ST leader and deserves every penny he gets. Nothing but a class act." ** ive never seen a team fan forum speak such high praise for a guy. David Bruton signs with the Redskins - The Orange Mane - a Denver Broncos Fan Community Seems to check all of SM boxes - pro's pro, plays ST, young enough at 29 at start of the season ... 3/9 mil 1.5 = very manageable. --------------------------------------------------- Nicki Jhabvala ✔ @NickiJhabvala Broncos worked to keep Bruton, even matching the Redskins' offer. Came down to playing time. 5:18 PM - 15 Mar 2016 ^^^^ that dude SM can talk football. ----------------------------------------------------- his twitter is all about kids, family, community, working out and eating healthy ..... https://twitter.com/D_Brut30?ref_src...Ctwgr%5Eauthor

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
David Bruton deal: $9M, $3.4M gtd, $2.5M signing bonus, salaries $900,000 (gtd), $2.25M, $2.75M; $15,625 per game active, $500K escalator
a cap hit of about $1.7 million in 2016 |

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Redskins re-signed C Josh LeRibeus.
LeRibeus started 11 games at center last season, but appeared overmatched while grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 30 center out of 40 qualifiers. With Kory Lichtensteiger back healthy, LeRibeus will be an interior backup. My guess is Stefan Wiz aint coming to town, probably too expensive in McC eyes.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
I think the Galette signing puts us closer to picking a corner with the first pick.
Eli Apple, come on down....

So we need to move on one in the first round. We can get good DTs in the 2nd and 3rd.

Also, are you assuming Culliver is done (going to be cut). If not, they have two good CBs. |

He has no guaranteed money coming so cutting him wont foxxor our cap situation too bad. (If I'm reading all that jargon properly) Either way, we can do better at corner.

DL Paea, Baker, Ricky Jean, Golston, new guy from the Chargers we signed. Trent could move to the frontline and Preston could see time there. I think we are getting a NT/DE in the 1st or 2nd round in the draft as well.
