Pros - Local guy (Howard) at a position of need. Former 9er. described as a leader.

Cons - 31 and missed most of last season w torn pec. cap hit of 6m which i assume could be massaged down.

He might be cut outright so a late draft pick trade ala goldson could be in the works.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know he missed that much time last year, cools me off on him. We have enough guys coming back from injury next year. But he used to be a beast.

But if the FO feels weak enough at S to think about Dash I would prefer Bethea.
