Re: Redskins Training Camp '16

I find it interesting that Jay Gruden said that he was happy with the center position and that he didn't see the need to bring in Bryan Stork, yet now we have Kory taking a pay cut to keep his job. There is either a clear difference of opinion about the C position between Jay and Scot, or Jay was just going a little overboard polishing his "player's coach" image.

Also, what is the point of demanding that Kory take a pay cut? It won't make him play any better and it could mess with his mind and make him play worse. The pay cut may also be a signal that Kory is no longer the starter at C.

In my ignorant opinion, the Skins need to name Long the starting C and start Lauvao at LG to put the best OL on the field. Kory just can't hold up against the bull rush and the inside pressure needs to be reduced.

Gruden talking up our current centers is nothing more than coach speak.

Can we focus on coffee people? If you want to talk about football join a Redskins chat group site. I recommend the Warpath.

I use this great coffee maker from Italy - very sturdy, only downside takes about 15 minutes for water to boil on stove - use freshly ground beans. Add hot milk.

Last year before Licht got hurt and Lavaou (spelling?) our run game was kicking butt. Sort of hoping he picks up where he left off. Am I misremembering or was he playing pretty solid before the injury?

Per Kiem:

Ioannidis, McRib and C. Jenkins cut, Lanier, Reiter and Everett in the 53 man roster.

Man I'm so happy about Lanier and Everett making the squad. I've heard rumblings that the expectation is for Reiter to be possible starter at center next year based on his growth and development.

When Everett and Lanier make the squad it truely says "we are about hard work and results on the field" and clearly this preseason both these guys excelled. This team is being built the right way.

Could not agree more. I would say that since Everett made the team, that they will keep 6 DL.

This is a great observation.

Was really watching Lanier v Ioannidis this preseason. Lanier outplayed him on every level.

Everett basically willed his way on to the team.

Love it!

Never know what assignments other players may have missed or what not, but Reyes has just looked terrible and I don't know why he made the roster.

Yeah, I think Chris baker is also in the plans too. If desean comes out and balls out like I expect, we gotta try to bring him back. Guys who who can take the top off the defense are tough to find. Makes Jordan Reed and garçons jobs much easier. I actually think we should do the breeland extension asap.
