Riley struggled to come back from December foot surgery and ended up losing his job to Mason Foster. Set to earn $4 million, he cost too much to keep around as a backup. Paea spent most of training camp with the third-team defense.

Feel more confortable with that cut than I'd have felt 3 weeks ago, Foster Compton and Spaight did a good job at ILB. DL really is the group we need to improve.
