Re: Around the NFL: Training Camp edition

I do not agree with that Kap did by not standing for our Anthem.
I went on the internet today and I was incredibly saddened by this:
Lead levels in Indiana town's yards 6 times higher than safe - CNN.com
On the tails of the Flint Michigan lead poisoning in their water earlier this year.

Then there is Rapist Brock Turner getting released early from a ridiculously short prison term with no record for raping a female college student. Come to find out in the recent months there are four other white privileged men that raped unconscious women and also got away free: David Becker, John Enochs, Nicholas Fifield, Austin Wilkerson.
Then there is Levar Allen a 17 year old high school student (star athlete) who was sexted by a 16 year old female class mate. Levar did not initiate it. By the way Levar is black and his 16 year old classmate is white. Levar replied with his own sext. Big mistake.
Levar is arrested and charged with Child Pornography and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, Levar will eventually have to register as a sex offender if found guilty. The other five above will not.
Then I get on this site and I see that a player not standing for the national anthem is dominating the news. Not these other more important stories.
I think I see why people like Colin Kapernick gets upset at the injustices that still exist in our country against people of low income.
You just have to open your eyes and look at it from a different perspective.
I wonder if the wounded hero in the pitcure above and his fellow hero's are being treated better/well at the VA hospitals? Oh wait....is that unAmerican of me to ask that?

I am confused about your first statement as I feel like you went on and on with solid examples of why he is upset? Anyway - by Kaep sitting people - like you - are reminding all of us about the racial inequalities. Those examples you pointed out are just sickening. Id say Kaep sitting is shedding light right before our eyes.

But this a football site and it is the biggest story in Football this week. Sure the topics u brought up are bigger issues but they don't relate to football, you know the topic of this Web site.
