Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
Jordan Reed in the red zone, clutch. Run defense still frustrating, the tackling is embarrassing. But forcing fumbles, credit deserved. And Norman on the pick, that was a great play. Few corners can make that, and it was clutch.
Hope Kerrigan is ok. Kind of hope we stick with this offensive line.

I do too. The sacks were more on Cousins than the line, especially the last one. I will say this: as much as I appreciate the grit in grinding out the win, I would really like to see more of a killer instinct when we have a lead (or from the get go). We should have crushed that team. They have 1 good WR (not elite) and a good RB (not elite), a rookie QB, and a porous defense. I think they have a good coach and come looking for a brawl every week. But we ought to have won without it being so close. We cannot seem to go for the throat. Makes me crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The O played good but they should have scored 40+ on the Browns. I liked the run/pass balance. In the end it was a win and that's all that matters. From where they started 2-2 looks pretty good. This team is improving every week and that's the key to success. |

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
I was at Texans game and did not get to see any of the game .I have seen three highlights, the two touchdowns to reed and the interception cousins threw which was ugly. I thought this game would be close and when I saw it was 20 to 20 I thought it would come down to a field goal, glad it did not come down to that .
I think you can throw all hope of the playoffs out the window, this defense is just too bad along with the injuries that are mounting up. The offense was going to have to outscore everybody every game and I just don't think cousins( along with our shitty coaching) is up to that task. But thankful for the win makes for a good work week

But I think there are people on here that still think we could make the playoffs even if we would have lost to Cleveland

A loss to Cleveland would have been pretty much lights out. Do not care what week it is. However, at 2-2 it is tough to think we haven't got a chance. Our defense certainly is going to make it extremely tough on us no doubt. We are not the worst "team" though. Carolina, Arizona - I would have said those games were sure losses. Now not so much. Certainly Detroit, Baltimore are winnable. Dallas, Giants. Winnable. 8-4 for this team down the stretch might be asking alot, but it certainly is doable. Teams catch fire, injuries happen around the league, etc. |

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
Great to finally have a running game, and be 2-2. We need to keep giving Jones the ball, even if it's not working. We need the balance. Kirk was Kirk. Up and down. I just think this is who we are going to have with him. Like a lot of QB's he's going to be hot and cold.
The bad is the run defense. Awful. I can't even get on Barry today. Looked like he was finally dialing up some pressure. Guys were in position and missed easy tackles. Just don't have enough horses on the front 7. |

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
2 weeks ago, we were all talking about how Kirk can't work off schedule. He never held the ball long enough to make unscripted plays. He even commented in his pressure how taking a sack sometimes would be better then forcing a ball into coverage aka Dallas game.
Now..He's using his feet, making things happen with his feet and will take a few more sacks in the process. Yet, now people complain he's not getting rid of the ball. He's getting their folks. He was able to deliver on a few unscripted plays today in just a few weeks of focusing on it to counter defenses.

Re: Redskins 31 Browns 20 post game talk
I'll focus on the negatives:
Shitty tackling (lack of) Lack of a run D up the middle (pathetic) Josh Norman 1st half Cousins holding onto the ball again resulting in a sack and not taking advantage of the turnover. Where was Djax? Brutton Getting tired of Barry not adjusting (if we would have lost, I would have fired his ass and promote Fewell or Manusky as DC)

Part of the shitty tackling is caused by them trying to strip the ball. |
