Re: Ultraconservative Playcalling

I'm all for getting points....that's the whole point.

But what if KC intercepted and went for a TD? People would be calling Gibbs an idiot....course some already fo that.

Re: Ultraconservative Playcalling

Gibbs has nominally tried a screen or something relativly consevative to see if we could get a big gain, if so then he go's on the attack, I alway's believe you attack from wherever you are if you have remotly enough time to do so, but I don't really kill coaches who don't, but I do believe it seperates coaches like Parcell's, and Walsh from the rest, they have a belief in their offensive capabilities to attack at all times, it depend's on the situation, there have been times where I would say sit on it, and other's where I would say go for it, probably the flow of the game has a lot to do with a decision like that.

Parcells had (up until the Eagles game supposedly) a very conservative play calling.

It's a shame when these coaches are called "the best" when they win and when they lose they're the worst people in the world and they "don't know how to do their job"...even though they've dedicated their life to this.

I had faith in Gibbs when he moved to Brunell and I have faith in Williams to get the defense going. Most of all, I have faith in the Redskins.
