The D definitely put the team in position to win on Sunday and unfortunately the O laid an egg.

To me all season the O had to score 30 points for the team to have a realistic shot at winning because the D was gonna give up 20+. That's a lot of pressure and no margin for error. Is there room for improvement on O, absolutely but I think the D has to be the #1 focus in the off-season.

Off season begins.

The offense set all sorts of franchise records this year. The D on the other hand was pretty much bottom of the barrel in most categories. With just a middle of the pack D we could have won several more games.

The primary focus this offseason better be the D, I'm sure SM is well aware of that.

32nd in 3rd down defense. It was historically bad. That's due to lack of pass rush and lack of speed on the back end.

Re: Off season begins.

I love our offense don't get me wrong but I'd rather have a team set up like Seattle, score about 24 PpG and run the ball. We are more like New Orleans, all we do is air it out, makes the QB and wrs look good but it ultimately doesn't win many games. It was proven this yr, when kirk threw for 300 plus yards we were under 500.

Wonder when we will hear about any plans to make changes in the coaching staff? I always think its better to get out front if we are...

I agree but I think the next week or two are going to be spent on evaluations for players and staff. Plus maybe we already have a target that's on a playoff staff too, so it isn't the end of the world. But if they have a target that isn't on a playoff staff, like a Gus Bradley, then sure it makes sense to get a jump on it. Gotta do evaluations first though.

Speaking of throwing up in my mouth a little:

Jerry Jones is a finalist for the HOF, along with LaDainian Tomlinson, Jason Taylor, and Brian Dawkins.

That's BS.

I don't know if he will be there at pick 17 but I want Jamal Adams FS from LSU, pair him with Cravens
