Awww, man! That game sucked turds, outside of us getting the win.

It was right at that moment that I surmised Mark Brunell was falling apart, and was basically done as a starting QB in this league. That dude basically stunk up the joint the following season. He could only throw short routes, and it took everything in him to throw it deep. Horrible!

Brunell had a good season in 2005, he was bothered in the playoffs by a leg injury and he couldn't plant his foot to throw. But as you say he was aging and starting to become brittle. I still feel today that Brunell was a scapegoat in 2006 for the entire redskins offense being cursed by Al Saunders and his famous 1000 page playbook.

Agree with this I wish we stuck to what we were doing AIR Croyell style and Don Breaux coordinating i think we'd have been better off....

IMO, Brunell was a main part of why we crapped the bed in 2006. He sucked like the dickens. Our defense had fallen off that season, as well, but we still played close in most games. Our offense sucked so bad due to Brunell. I wanted to take a chance on Collins in the 2006 season because he knew the system. I didn't think he'd set the world on fire (although, he ended up having a heckuva ride during our 2007 playoff rally following the death of Sean Taylor), but I felt he couldn't be any worse than Brunell.

Was that the game Sean Taylor got ejected from for spitting and where he also has a fumble return for TD? Or was that the regular season game?
