No, he was going to be a 3-4 DE. No way will they ever try to make him a 4-3 DT. Murphy was one of our pleasant surprises, really improving in year 3. Leave him where he is, and perhaps that progress will continue.

Didn't he gain weight to do that last year? He went back to OLB after the Gallette injury. I'm not talking NT, more like Hatcher was.

Do you think we go after Zeitler hard and have him move to LG, the Jay connection would be strong.

I certainly could see that interest...Also think the Ron Leary from the Cowboys makes sense with the Callahan connection. The options at LG are too many not to make a move this year...Lang up in Green Bay too. But Lang doesn't fit the type of LG I want...I want a road grader who can help Long on the Run Blocking in the middle in a power blocking scheme.

I know there's a big difference in LT vs. RT. Is it the same with LG vs. RG? I can't imagine it would be huge.

yeah, my understanding its not a big deal at all. Center and Guards move all the time...fat, strong, and how to use leverage...the life of interior line play.

Re: In Scot we trust?

Guys, nobody has hit on every draft.
SM has had some luck, Doctson is bad luck no one knew that would happen.
Give him more time, I am absolutely happy with not being an embarrassment anymore.
At least we have a chance at winning some of these games, wasn't that way a few years ago.....

Doctson was not going to start if he was healthy. He might be a good pick for the future. " The future is now" should be the plan, not this slow rebuilding plan . "not being an embarrassment " is a very low standard.

SM has 9 picks now in the draft, he needs at least 5 that contribute.

In free agency he has plenty of money.... no more Reyes, Bruton, Toler, Paea, Johnson, Hood, etc.
