Re: 2017 Draft Prospects

I would be very happy with this draft. Only position I missed that I would have liked to add was a RB.

17: R1P17 - CB MARSHON LATTIMORE - OHIO STATE
49: R2P17 - LB JARRAD DAVIS - FLORIDA
81: R3P17 - S JUSTIN EVANS - TEXAS A&M
114: R4P7 - DL JALEEL JOHNSON - IOWA
124: R4P17 - LB KENDALL BECKWITH - LSU
155: R5P10 - WR KD CANNON - BAYLOR
202: R6P17 - C KYLE FULLER - BAYLOR
210: R6P25 - DL CHARLES WALKER - OKLAHOMA
221: R7P2 - EDGE DARIUS ENGLISH - SOUTH CAROLINA
236: R7P17 - TE ERIC SAUBERT - DRAKE

Don't figure too hard.

It seemed like I was the only one that thought it was mistake to completely pass on taking any QBs that year.

Lol, here's another question...... could drafting a QB in the 2015 draft changed how Cousin's contract was negotiated?

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects

My wish list at #17
Reuben Foster
Forest Lamp
Budda Baker,
in that order(originally I had Baker ahead of Lamp but with the Swearinger signing that changed)

this is my semi realistic options at #17, obviously if a Jonathon Allen were to drop due to his shoulder I would break Jon Ross's 40 time running to the podium.

Listening to the information on the radio and in podcasts, I love the idea of Sidney Jones in the 3rd. He can redshirt behind Norman, Breeland and Fuller, then he is Breeland insurance.

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects

This isn't my favorite draft, but it's one of my better scores....

I followed James Dudko's Top 100 Board that the 'Skins should go after...

Washington Redskins: Updated Draft Big Board After First Wave of Free Agency | Bleacher Report

Note: Once I drafted a given position, I over-looked it until I hit the next highest rated available player at a different position. All in all, it didn't end up too badly.
I really like the top 5 rounds...(I'm not a JuJu fan quite yet).

Your score is: 11101 (GRADE: B)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 17: Zach Cunningham, OLB/ILB, Vanderbilt (B-)
Round 2 Pick 17: Budda Baker, FS, Washington (A-)
Round 3 Pick 17: Chris Wormley, DT, Michigan (A)

Round 4 Pick 7: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Southern California (A+)
Round 4 Pick 17: Kendell Beckwith, ILB, LSU (A+)
Round 5 Pick 10: Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo (A+)

Round 6 Pick 17: Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee (C+)
Round 6 Pick 25: Garrett Sickels, DE, Penn State (C-)
Round 7 Pick 2: Lewis Neal, DE, LSU (D+)
Round 7 Pick 17: Josh Tupou, DT, Colorado (D+)

I think you did a very good job! This draft has a realistic look to it. I like the methodology you followed. You hit on many of our needs with good prospects. Actually, the more I study it, the more I like it.

LOL

We'll have a 300 pounder playing safety. I dig it.

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects

The Redskins are looking everywhere for a NG including D3 Frostburg State. They met with Niles Scott a 305lb NG with 4.9 speed. And gaudy stats, albeit at the D3 level.

55 tackles- 17.5 TFL- 9 sacks

Is 3 okay 2 of the top players from this list too much to ask?

I think it's likely that we could see at least 2 off that list.
I'm surprised that they don't have Chris Wormley on that list though.

Yeah I'm surprised about Wormley too...

I figure we don't pick high enough to get Allen or Thomas...

2 or 3 of the following would be ideal for me:

McDowell (if Gregg Williams signs off on his attitude)
Vincent Taylor
Larry Ogunjobi
Monty Adams
Carlos Watkins
Elijah Qualls
Davon Godchaux
Tu'ikolovatu
Treyvon Hester
Jasson Jones
